
SIGAR is looking for motivated students to participate in the Student Hire Program. Throughout the internship, students will have a first-hand look into how the Federal government works. Additionally, students will gain a wealth of knowledge and skills that can be applied in their future careers.
Requirements
To participate in the SIGAR Student Hire Program, applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student (diploma, certificate etc.) at an accredited university or college. Additionally, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
Positions
Students will have the opportunity to be placed within one of SIGAR’s directorates including:
Each student will create a work assignment plan with their supervisor to ensure they are gainfully employed and learning valuable job skills throughout the summer. In addition to working 40 hours per week throughout the summer, student hires will have the option to return to work for SIGAR during the January break from school.

Students will be compensated at an hourly rate based on their level of education.

| GS-2 | Up to 29 semester hours or 44 quarter hours |
| GS-3 | 30-59 semester hours or 45-89 quarter hours |
| GS-4 | 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours |
| GS-5 | Over 60 semester/90 quarter hours up to a Bachelor's Degree |
| GS-7 | One year graduate level completed |
| GS-9 | Completion of a Master's Degree |
