Suspension and Debarment Cases
Below is a comprehensive list of suspensions and debarments related to SIGAR's work in Afghanistan as of
October 12, 2012. SIGAR makes referrals for suspensions and debarments, but final action must be made by other agencies and departments that have been determined to be the lead using standards promulgated by the Interagency Suspension and Debarment Committee, the working group responsible for resolving disputes regarding lead agency status. When SIGAR makes referrals it is based upon a belief, supported by documentary evidence, that the evidentiary standard for either a suspension or proposal for debarment has been met. Final dispositions of suspensions and debarments are determined by Suspension and Debarment Officials. "Actions attributable to SIGAR" are defined as suspensions, proposals for debarment or debarments that are based upon SIGAR investigations or audits but did not require a formal request, in the form of a referral by SIGAR, to prompt the responsible agency to take action.
